Settling In
Finally, my first real posting in Returns. Life is good. I live surrounded by beautiful vistas since Jerusalem is built along hill tops overlooking mostly lush and green valleys. "Dog alley," where Gus and I join the other owners with canines tending to their needs, overlooks Bustania Park and beyond to other neighborhoods peering back at Kiryat Yovel, where I live on Korzchak Street. Here's a pic of Gus visiting "Dog Alley" and a view from my sizeable patio outside my front door. On sunny days I drink my coffee and say good morning to others walking dogs (someone's always walking a dog) and heading for work. As you can see, in warm weather I can hear one neighbor's alarm clock and also get to listen in on another neighbor's late night karaoke party, full volume. But I enjoy this. Everyone says hello and now Gus is on nose to nose terms with the local dogs. Their humans ask about my whereabouts if I'm absent for a few days. Very cosy.
